Bank of Cyprus to help build blood research centre

Bank of Cyprus is contributing 2 million euro towards the cost of building the Blood Malignancies Research Centre of the Karaiskakion Institute. The new research centre will study blood malignancies such as leukaemia and run clinical tests in cooperation with Cambridge University, University of Patra and the University of Cyprus.

In recent years the Bank of Cyprus has donated almost 50 million euro as part of it’s coporate social responsibility, with largest contribution being 27 million for the Oncological Centre in Nicosia.
