After the recent uprising against the austerity measures imposed by Ankara to the Turkish Cypriots, TRNC “prime minister” Irsen Küçük said that Turkey will now provide a considerable economic assistance. The assistance will come as an investment of 255 million Turkish pounds plus another 300 million to strengthen the economy. Also Ankara will allow Turkish Cypriot companies to take part in Turkish government tenders for large construction projects.
