Egyptian man arrested with 350 ecstasy pills

A 38 year old man of Egyptian origin was seen putting two pills in his mouth after being stopped by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit of the police while driving in the Famagusta area. The policemen forced it out of his mouth and after the pills were identified as ecstasy, they also investigated his flat where they found another 347 pills, 6 grams of cocaine and 10 grams of cannabis. It was also found that the man has been illegally staying in Cyprus since May 2007. The Famagusta District Court has issued a decree for a 5-day detention pending investigation.
