The types of weapons used in Limassol robberies keeps getting more diverse. Last night at around 02:00 a man wearing a hood, tried to enter a 24 hour bakery in Ayios Athanasios area in Limassol. The automatic entrance to the shop was closed so the man broke one of the windows using a gardening hoe and managed to steal 80 euro from the cashier. Subsequently he run away to a small truck which was parked outside. Later during the night the police stopped a small truck in the Limassol – Paphos highway and arrested its passengers after finding in their possession small quantity of cannabis and a black hood matching matching the description of the one used in the robbery.
