The Ministry of Finance has announced that a 5% Value Added Tax (VAT) has been imposed on all food and beverages.

The Cyprus Green Party with the support of the Cyprus Consumer Association and Quality of Life invites consumers to boycott food markets on Monday 10 January.

From 10th January VAT at 5% will be charged on food and medicine with the exception of alcoholic beverages which will remain at 15%.
