Following the demise of Cyprus Airways, private airlines are attempting to fill in the void created and a grab a piece of the pie. Romanian budget airline Blue Air has added Larnaca Airport as one of its bases and immediately started daily morning flights to Athens. Additionally, from the 19th of January its service will include flights to Thessaloniki 3 times a week. Based on our unscientific research, ticket prices to Athens with Blue Air are in the range of 70 to 90 euro including the hidden credit card fees.
