Following today’s meeting between the Republic of Cyprus President Christofias and the Turkish Cypriot Leader Derviş Eroğlu, president told the press that Turkish Cypriot side rejects the possibility of having a population census.
President Christofias while speaking to students of University of Athens and University of Palermo said that Turkish Cypriot leader Eroglu is not willing to compromise and makes bridging the gap between the positions of the two communities impossible.
The Turkish government withdrew their appointed ambassador to the occupied areas.
According to information from Ankara it appears that the real aim of Erdogan’s real aim is to remove the Eroglu leadership of Turkish Cypriots by leading them into early elections.
