Two arrested in Paphos for possession of a large quantity of cannabis

Two Greek Cypriots, ages 53 and 47, were arrested last night in Paphos for possession of 1.7kg of cannabis. Members of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit visited the premises of a frozen products store in the coastal road between Paphos and Peyia (at the Kissonerga village) where they found a handmade cigarette and a bag containing 5 grams of cannabis in possession of the 53 year old. In the meantime outside the premises the 47 year old was stopped by the police while attempting to escape the scene with his car. The police found 27 grams of cannabis on him while in his car a bag was found containing 1673 grams of dry plant material which is believed to be cannabis.
