Yesterday a celebration was held by Greek and Turkish Cypriots of Tyllirias area for the opening of the Limnitis crossing. Members of both communities celebrated by singing and dancing together. The crossing was opened on 14th October 2010 and literally has brought the residents of the area out of isolation. The event was attended by Bishop of Tyllirias & Kykkos Nikiforos and who stressed that such events are blessed by the church, since they contribute to the idea of mutual understanding between the two communities and create a favourable political climate.
