Police seized over 200,000 euro in anti-gambling raids

A total of 342 raids were conducted by the Police during the campaign against gambling which took place during the holiday season, said Police Spokesman Michalis Katsounotos.
The campaign began on November 12, 2010 and ended on January 9 this year.
In particular, a total of 342 raids were conducted at various premises such as casinos, clubs and cafes and 18 complaints were reported. Also during the campaign the police seized checques corresponding to a total of 205,000 euros, 9110 in cash, 156 computer towers, 5,071 cards, 118 dice and other evidence.
