Report by Cymar & Public Issue sheds some light on Cypriot reality

CyBC commissioned Public Issue and CYMAR to conduct a poll for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Politics aside, the report gives some very interesting figures on other subjects that affect us all.

Some interesting results:

  • 41% less people believe that we are closer to a solution now than in 2006.
  • 42% believe the situation with the Cyprus problem will remain as is while only 17% believe in the bi-zonal bi-communal federation based solution.
  • 75% of the population feels that their economic situation is worse than 12 months ago.
  • People strongly believe that the biggest problem in Cyprus is the economic crisis with Cyprus Problem coming second.
